Audio Designer (4pm-12am through August) (WEST PALM BEACH, FL) – ION Media Networks

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Editing and mixing sound to picture including Dialogue, Sound Effects and Music.
• Delivery of final air-master in stereo and or 5.1 sound file to Editors and Producers.
• Creation of custom sound effects utilizing a variety of software and hardware tools.
• Ingest and organization of split audio and stem masters that are delivered via multiple formats.
• Organize and categorize newly created sound effects and existing effects not apart of master libraries utilizing Soundminer and or Metadigger.
• Work with the transfer of projects over network drives and work with the Senior Audio Designer for backup and archival purposes.
• Work with ISDN lines, routing and patching for VO record sessions as well as FTP sites for content delivery.

Skills:
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Minimum 3+ years of Post Production editing, mixing and sound design experience and/or professional music experience.
• Experience working with commercial audio tools on multiple platforms such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro. Must be both fast and creative while working.
• Experience with sound design/music programming tools such as Reaktor, Kontakt and/or any other virtual software instruments/tools.
• Knowledge of Sample Rate/Bit Depth and TC Formats is a must. Also experience working in formats from Stereo to 5.1 is necessary as well. Need to know and understand different delivery formats and broadcast specs utilizing the LKFS scale.
• Able to handle a fast paced, high intensity, creative environment effectively and interact with multiple producers and executives. Multi-tasking a must.
• Experience with live recordings in a studio environment and or field recording. Knowledge of microphone techniques/placement, preamps, and compression/EQ’ing/side-chaining is a must as well as signal flow/routing and headroom.
• Experience editing and mixing and conforming sound-to-picture a must.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical hardware and software issues related to the system/room you are working in.
• Experience with ISDN remote recording, CMR signal paths/setups and Digital/Analog clocking/calibration.
• Must be organized with file/naming structures and capable of working with network drives and local drives in an efficient and effective way.

Pluses:
• Experience with sound effect search engines such as Soundminer and or Metadigger a plus.
• Music composition/programming experience a plus but not required.

Int’l Supervising Producer

Act as back-up to Managing Producer on day-to-day operations in fast-paced International Production department. Maintain schedules, provide budget and purchasing support and assist production team with prioritization of assignments. Manage projects and act as a team leader. Apply solid working knowledge of HD/SD production and post-production to strictly uphold global mastering standards and assist with formatting/production as needed.

Primary Duties
• Support management team in day-to-day operations and supervision
of production department. Manage formatting schedule, submit
monthly purchase orders to vendors and assist with accruals and

• Act as a go-to person for production- and scheduling-related
questions from suppliers, vendors, A+E staff, channel partners and
sales clients.
• Strictly enforce A+E’s specifications for international mastering
to meet rigorous global standards. Proactively interact with A+E’s

to solve problems, educate and hold the line on International’s
technical requirements. Support production team’s efforts to
troubleshoot technical issues and ensure on-time delivery to

• A strong technical understanding of broadcast-quality production

compression and best practices for handling HD footage during post
production in both tape and file-based workflows. A firm
comprehension of audio mixing and stem creation is also necessary.
• Provide technical/materials support for acquisitions and channel
partner locally-produced programming as needed.
• Assist management team on departmental projects and initiatives,
attend and participate in departmental meetings, and act as
project manager as required.
• Assist with quick resolution of quality control failures or client
rejections, and come up with applicable solutions to avoid similar
issues in the future.
• When required, screen and prepare programs for international
formatting, coordinate edit prep for supervised/unsupervised
sessions and ensure proper movement of materials. Manage editors
and post-production facilities to maintain productivity and ensure
that output of international masters is maximized and accurate for
both supervised and unsupervised formatting sessions.
• Occasional need to coordinate the creation of production elements
such as teases, opens, title pages, disclaimers, credit sequences,
sales tapes, etc.

Required Experience:
BA is required, preferably in media or communications. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience at producer level or higher including all aspects of HD television production and post production. Candidate should have initiative, a keen eye for detail and the capability to see the big picture on an operations level; the ability to successfully manage multiple assignments and shifting deadlines, and excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

This is a full time freelance position, EXEMPT: not eligible for overtime

Partner Wanted: P.J.s Delivery Service

This a grocery delivery service that is out of home but needs help getting started and also need help running since the I have no experience in running a business. I can deliver the groceries and do the shopping and make contacts with grocery stores but I’m currently unemployed but is freelancer for data entry. I need someone to do the books while also taking the customers calls and monitoring the company website. Nothing can be done yet due to finances. With the gas prices and time consuming this business has the potential to grow. Already I’m getting people interested in the service. The name is P.J.s Delivery Service. I get paid 3 dollars per customer and the partner does to. There can be 4 loads per trip with possibly 4 trips per day for 5 days. We are closed when the grocery stores are closed for holidays. Pay does vary depending on location but base is 3 dollars. The further the area of delivery the higher the labor charge. The business will work on Sat. if we are closed one of the days during the week.

Need someone who can do the book keeping, customer calls and see if there is any orders online. Someone who is also handy with sending images via the phone. Must have good readable handwriting. Also know how to use a computer.
